What is the Visa Waiver Program?
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) allows nationals of 37 participating countries to travel to the United States without a visa for tourism or business for stays of up to 90 days. Those eligible to enter Visa Waiver may also wish to apply for a visa, as certain visas permit more flexibility and a greater number of permissible activities within the United States, such as working, studying, or staying for longer periods of time. Visa Waiver travelers are required to have a valid authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to travel, are screened at the port of entry into the United States, and are enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security’s US-VISIT program.
The Visa Waiver Program attorneys at Surowitz Immigration, P.C. are highly experienced counseling individuals from many different countries worldwide with visa waiver issues. If you have questions about visa waiver issues or would like more information, contact us today.
