EB-2 Green Card Attorney for National Interest Waiver (NIW)

Individuals applying for permanent residency under the EB-2 green cards National Interest Waiver (NIW) category are exempt from the general requirement for other EB-2s of a Labor Certification (PERM) from the Department of Labor, which is filed by the individual’s prospective employer. For these NIW cases, the general time consuming and expensive Labor Certification requirement is “waived” by demonstrating that the individual’s employment will substantially benefit the national interests of the U.S.
