Unlike other immigration-related administrative bodies, the 9th Circuit appeals court is a federal court that hears cases concerning many areas of the law. An appeal submitted to the 9th Circuit Appeals Court can be extremely lengthy and detailed. In most circumstances, the 9th Circuit is the highest court that will consider an immigration-related case. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is also restricted to hearing certain topics and therefore will not make a decision on every detail of the case.
