As the local Barcelona liaison for our United States immigration law firm, Mr. Garriga acts as a local point person, steering the firm’s clientele in Barcelona and beyond within Europe towards appropriate specialized counsel, as necessary. As the day-to-day face of Surowitz Immigration, P.C. in Barcelona, he also provides local administrative services through his firm, coordinating all necessary functions from arranging and participating in video conferencing between the Barcelona and San Francisco offices, to assisting with the transfer of necessary legal documents.
Abel Garriga has practiced law in Barcelona, Spain since 1995. He focuses on both private and business disputes and litigation, assessing appropriate strategies for both plaintiffs and defendants, and representing clients in all facets of the court process. He also specializes in intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on those based on copyright and information technologies. Utilizing his sophisticated understanding of contractual issues, he assists clients in all contract phases commencing with the initial negotiations, and continuing to bring to light all sensitive points throughout.
